My name is Felicia Newell, and I am a Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, and Personal Trainer, as well as the owner of Sustain Nutrition (soon to be known as FN Health). I am a local small business, a mom of 4, and I have helped hundreds of clients just like you achieve your health, fitness and nutrition goals, WITHOUT unrealistic eating patterns and without completely overhauling your life. Research consistently shows that those type of diets are not realistic, not sustainable, and can lead to yo-yo dieting. After I complete your nutrition and lifestyle assessment you will get a detailed, personalized action plan as well as a meal guide to successfully reach your goals and improve your health, as well as continued guidance, accountability, and support from me (which research shows is beneficial for long-term success).

 

I’ve also been where you are (or at least some form of it). Years ago I still struggled with food, and feeling like I had to eat 'perfect' and look perfect because that's what the media tells us (but really who are they to decide and tell us/make us feel what’s ‘perfect’). Early in my university years and when first having children things were stressful, and I started getting into bad habits and eating when I was emotional or bored (I wasn’t really taught stress management skills in my childhood, so I had to slowly teach them to myself, and with some professional help, during my university years). When I had children my body changed and that was tough at first. I gained over 60 pounds, and I may have gotten sucked into some of the 'quick fix' diets...you know, the ones that promise big results but never work long-term. But then I gained a better mindset, more confidence, and lost weight and kept it off! 

 


 

 


I am trained in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition counselling, and am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I also have extensive research training (which is critical for providing TRUSTED nutrition information), through a Master of Science in Applied Human Nutrition program and working at a research centre for many years. 
 

I am trained in nutrition across the life cycle (pregnancy to elderly), so I can take on a wide array of clients. Clients who I specialize in working with are those who struggle with healthy eating but wish to make a lifestyle change and require support, those interested in sports nutrition, as well as those with food allergies/intolerances, celiac disease, IBS, and other diseases/conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. The approach I use is different for each and every person - tailored to your unique situation, and what will work best for YOU.
